Working Efficiently with Automated Quality Assurance

How smart software leads to fewer quality deviations and, consequently, lower failure costs. Harm Stuiver of Van Wijnen explains this in the trade journal Beton- & Staalbouw.

Integrated Use of Software at a Concrete Plant

Van Wijnen Smart Structures 1 has made its production facility for precast elements in Heerenveen future-proof. This is achieved through high-quality machinery and systems, but above all through the dedication of its employees. At this production site, BIM4Production® acts as a catalyst between people and machines. The software fosters a personal sense of ownership regarding the elements being produced. This leads to fewer quality deviations and, consequently, lower failure costs. Furthermore, thanks to BIM4Production, Van Wijnen complies almost entirely automatically with the Construction Quality Assurance Act (Wkb). Harm Stuiver, Plant Manager, discusses this in this interview with *Beton & Staalbouw*.
