PREFAB: Industry Leaders Combine Craftsmanship with Digitalization
During PREFAB 2025, October 7–9 at the Brabanthallen in ’s-Hertogenbosch, four leading companies in the prefab construction industry are joining forces: Packhunt for Factories, Construsoft, CADblanche, and BIM4Production®. Under the theme“PREFAB: Where Digitalization Meets Craftsmanship,” they will demonstrate at the Digitalization Plaza how smart software solutions are accelerating, improving, and future-proofing the prefab sector. In the Digi-Theater, which is directly connected to the Digitalization Plaza, they will offer trade show visitors a varied program of knowledge and hands-on sessions every day.
A lineup of no fewer than 15 knowledge sessions in the Digi-Theater
New this year is the Digi-Theater, directly connected to the Digitalization Plaza. Here, five hands-on knowledge sessions take place daily, led by clients and partners of the four companies. TKI Bouw & Techniek kicks off the lecture program in the Digi-Theater with a keynote by William van Niekerk: “How the Netherlands Can Become a Champion of Digitalization.” A total of 15 companies—including De Groot Vroomshoop, Van Wijnen Smart Structure 1, Walraven, B-Invented, BTE Group, and others—will share their knowledge and experiences. Bouwlab R&Do and DigiGO will also share their perspectives on the latest developments in the prefab market. No sales pitches—just concrete case studies that demonstrate how digitization works in practice. Each presentation will be delivered by an expert with hands-on experience and will address a specific aspect of digitization in prefab construction, such as:
- Parametric design and configuration of prefabricated elements;
- Smart engineering and automation of production processes;
- BIM integration and digital quality assurance;
- MES platforms and traceability at the element level.
The sessions are interactive and provide opportunities for questions, discussion, and networking. Visitors will gain insight into how digitization not only speeds up processes but also reduces failure costs and strengthens collaboration throughout the supply chain.
Digitization as the Foundation for Craftsmanship
The collaboration between the four companies arose from a shared vision: digitization is not a luxury, but a necessity. The housing shortage, labor shortages, and increasing demands for quality and flexibility call for a new approach. By combining complementary technologies, the four companies offer an integrated solution for digitizing prefab processes—from parametric design to production planning and quality control.
At the Digitalization Plaza, digitalization in the prefab industry is brought to life. Visitors can see live demonstrations of how prefab elements are digitally configured, modeled, and prepared for production. The integration between the four partners’ systems showcases how efficiency, reliability, and speed come together in a single workflow.
Digital Pioneers: Four Areas of Expertise, One Ecosystem
Packhunt for Factories focuses on parametric design and supply chain integration for manufacturing and construction. Their technology enables error-free and scalable design, leveraging knowledge from across the entire supply chain. This leads to significant time savings and cost reductions, particularly in industrial, modular, and prefabricated construction.
CADblanche develops smart software for prefab factories and modular builders. Their solutions—such as RoofDesigner, BrickDesigner, and AutoQuantify—enable autonomous engineering and ensure reliable data and scalable processes. Through close collaboration with clients and integration with BIM, ERP, and production environments, they create digital workflows that are immediately applicable in practice.
Construsoft has been a specialist in 3D BIM software for over 30 years. Their solutions support, among other things, timber-frame construction, steel-frame structures, and roof elements. They help companies worldwide build smarter with digital precision—from design to production.
BIM4Production® offers an MES platform that digitizes and automates prefabrication at the component level. The platform integrates engineering, planning, production, and quality control into a single workflow. This creates a digital twin of the factory, ensuring traceability and quality—essential under the Quality Assurance Act (Wkb).
Shared ambition: to digitally transform 100 companies
The four companies have a clear goal: to support at least 100 prefab manufacturers in their digital transformation by 2030. By sharing knowledge and collaborating, they aim to help the sector build faster, smarter, and more sustainably.
